Spring Wing Workout

Colorado Area Angels gathered to celebrate the arrival of Serendipity, a new magalogue from The Angel Company. The first of what will be a spring and fall supplement to the base catalog that is published every summer, this book is part magazine and part catalogue, filled with techniques and project ideas. (See more here.)
Manager Julie Griffith (at left) is dressed for the occasion in Serendipity's colors and shared all of the projects, swaps, gifts and goodies she received at Escape, TAC's winter retreat in San Antonio, TX.
She also gave goodies similar to ones she had received: Angel themed pins and a mini piercing kit containing a tack, tag shaped fun foam and plastic canvas. She added a little twist by adding a foam tack holder made from the packaging of Making Memories brads and stringing the goodie on a book ring.

Make 'n Takes
The fun projects included a Mimi pop-up Valentine, which looks intricate, but is really very easy to make.

There was also an emery board gift, which was stamped with an exclusive set given to Escape participants. It features a swirl, Angel wings and TAC's signature phrase "Because being an Angel is just more fun!" This is a great project to do as a giveaway at a crop. People get a kick out of seeing the Crop-a-Dile or Big Bite go through the emery board to hold the cute ribbon. Later they can file a jagged nail or distress paper and be reminded of you!

Jeanine Jensen brought a beautiful and timely Valentine card, as well as a swap card using the Love Blooms set.

Lilly Anna paper was used for this adorable bookmark featuring one of the new hostess sets, Hinges, and wording from the Escape set. The magnets inside the bookmark keep it in place so your contact info is easily accessible. (This project was inspired by Rita Wetzel's Escape Club Med trade.)

The final project was the Felt Flip Album that is featured on page 37 of Serendipity. It's fun to show the actual project as well as the detailed instructions that appear in the magalogue. The embossed flowers that were made with Versamagic ink and clear embossing powder are so shiny and pretty in person! This fun technique makes inexpensive embellishments that match your project perfectly!
